I'm goin' to the land down under

12 days. 12 days until I am off for the land down under. 12 days until I will get that unsettling feeling about being away from my family for so long. 12 days until I will have to brace myself for the 14 hour flight that lies in store for me. 12 days until I will be able to see family that I have waited for forever to meet and to give a big hug and kiss to. 12 days until I will be able to hear the beautiful accents of aussie men. 12 days until I will see new sights and create new memories that will last a lifetime. 12 days.... oh yes.... 12 days.

  1. 12 days surely not. It's been sometime in the future for so long now that thinking it's happening NOW is suprising. see you soon

  2. 12 days until you leave for the time of you life with instructions to have enough fun for the both of us, kiss everyone a hundred times for me, be polite, and remember to say your prayers and pick up after yourself.

  3. I'm surprised that mum didn't make a comment about the aussie men you are wanting to meet, hmm. We can't wait to have you here.

  7. Well Caitlin, once upon a time your Granny and Granda Smylie were coming to visit me on the way to picking up your mother and traveling back to Australia with her after she had had a lovely visit with her American family...Well, instead, they arrived in time for her wedding because she had met this handsome Arizona boy and had fallen in love! And what a lovely wedding it was, all sunshine and flowers and joy and laughter. So if you found an Aussie man who lives up to your Dad's standards then we would just have to come there for the wedding wouldn't we. What a lovely thought! I say look anyway, no harm in looking is there? Have a great time darlin' and give all a hug and kiss for me.
